　　Twenty-five years ago Harrison Ford was living with his family in a rundown house near the Hollywood Bowl with a blanket for a bathroom door. After dropping out of college in 1964 and heading for Hollywood in a VW Beetle, he'd found little success as an actor. He turned to carpentry.
　　Stoically facing down his ignorance, he would sit up on a roof with a carpentry book in one hand and a hammer in the other. He literally learned on the job, but he was exacting about his work.
　　As if defiant about his failure in the film business, he would turn up at auditions dressed in his carpenter's overalls and just stare at the floor. Producers began labelling him cranky, brooding, angry.
